I had a really lovely stay at New Place Hotel. The hotel itself is beautiful, the spa facilities were excellent, and the food in the restaurant was genuinely very good. All of the staff we encountered were polite, professional and extremely helpful throughout my visit. Management were also responsive and handled matters appropriately. There was an issue with some disruptive guests during my stay, which was unfortunate, but I cannot fault how the team dealt with the situation. They were calm, professional and took my concerns seriously. Overall, a great hotel with excellent service, and we would happily return.
Lovely hotel with motel style rooms, the grounds are beautiful and staff I have met are friendly. Some importants to get my rating up to 5 star would include room service for lone travellers who don't really want to sit in a restaurant or bar by themselves. The bathroom wasn't spotless and where stains down the toilet when I arrived along with molding grout. My rooms was near the reception area and there was a constant humming which would properly disappear the further you get from the main building. I would also consider privacy film on the windows so we can open curtains and windows without making us feel we are being viewed if someone walks passed and not in a room without natural light. Overall though it was pleasant, breakfast and dinner were lovely.
Amazing value rooms with small but sufficient pool, jacuzzi, sauna and gym. Incredible interiors in the main house with an incredible historyof how it came to be. Double stacked fireplaces, oak panelling and ornate plaster ceilings. Beautiful paintings throughout from the owner who is an art collector. The Bristol dining room has to be one of the most special dining rooms this side of the UK! Food and wine was fabulous. Buffet breakfasts- standard selection, but good quality and well cooked. Lovely grounds for a walk. Ample parking. Conference and wedding availability.
Beautiful old house providing excellent facilities for a few nights away. Bar snacks were disappointing but breakfast was very good indeed. We’ve booked to return later in the year!
Good hotel. The layout is like a motel. The room was good. And the food was good as well as the service. Pool was a good size. We enjoyed our family trip
The location is great a huge old boys school. Building is beautiful. Found out on my second day I had access to pool, gym and sauna for no extra which was nice. Staff were pleasant. Not bad for £50 a night. Room was very small and could barely sit on the bog cause there was no room for my legs struggled to do the paperwork. The corridors were a bit minging but I was in the cheapest room to be fair and it was in the naughty boys dorm.
Fantastic Service Very friendly helpful staff. I Attended a celebration on one of the rooms we had a buffet & cream tea & I must say it was absolutely fantastic Highly impressed Recommend 100% Grat for a nice sleepy relaxing break or Special occasions
